Program Highlights
Through a minor or concentration in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, you’ll delve into contemporary research on women’s history and culture, gender roles, sexuality, and feminist theory. Our interdisciplinary liberal arts program draws from various academic disciplines to foster your critical thinking and give you a holistic understanding of human relationships and cultural dynamics.
Through diverse methodologies and perspectives, you’ll gain insights into the structures of power influencing gender and sexual identities. Key questions driving this field of study include:
- How have gender and sexuality functioned as tools for social control throughout history?
- How have they acted as drivers of social change?
- Are gender and sexuality products of biology or products of social construction?
