Service Learning

A Bryant education doesn’t just set you up for professional success. We also foster your growth as an empathetic and analytical thinker so that you can make a positive impact on the world around you. Through dynamic coursework, student organizations, and volunteering opportunities, you’ll engage with community partners, put your skills into action, and create tangible change in the process.

Our commitment to service learning ensures that you won’t just study the critical issues facing society — you’ll actively engage in solving them. At Bryant, you’ll receive the training and experience to tackle today’s most pressing problems and become a purpose-driven leader.

Through our many service opportunities, Bryant students have:

  • Changed the tax status of an animal rescue farm.
  • Provided marketable skills to incarcerated youth.
  • Designed courses to assist first-generation college students.
  • Consulted on communication strategies for a local nonprofit serving immigrants and refugees.
  • Taught English and computer skills to residents of a fishing village in the Dominican Republic.

Impact Core

Bryant’s general education curriculum — known as the Impact Core — gives you a holistic education rooted in social impact, while also preparing you for a meaningful career. In the experiential “General Education Capstone” course, you’ll collaborate with a community partner to tackle a real-world problem.

Capstones and Directed Studies

Many Bryant academic programs culminate in a senior capstone project or directed study. Work independently or with a team to develop a solution for a real-world problem, or dive into an in-depth research project on a topic that interests you. Our faculty advisors will guide you throughout the process.

Corporate Partnerships

Your education is infused with industry partnerships. Work with businesses and nonprofit organizations to elevate your leadership skills and take your career credentials to the next level.
