Today, Italian is spoken by approximately 68 million people, and there are an estimated 110 million to 120 million speakers of Italian as a second or cultural language. Italian is the fifth most-taught non-native language worldwide, after English, French, Spanish, and German.
By pursuing a minor in Italian, you’ll gain an advanced level of language proficiency and a strong understanding of Italian culture. Along with equipping you with the necessary tools to become an effective and creative communicator, our curriculum also gives you the global perspective needed to live, study, and work in Italy and the international community.
Improve your cross-cultural understanding and international awareness by spending a semester abroad in Florence through Bryant’s extensive study abroad program. Through this immersive experience, you can also complete an internship with a local company and gain hands-on experience using your Italian language skills. You can also choose a short-term, faculty-led program at the start or end of a semester.
