Every organization needs skilled professionals to handle their most valuable asset — it’s employees. Investment in a strong HR presence leads to better employee engagement and delivers higher organizational performance.
As a Human Resource Management major at Bryant University, you’ll develop a complete understanding of all HR functions such as recruitment, employee orientation, training and career development, employment law and labor relations, performance appraisal, compensation and benefits, and conflict resolution. You’ll also discuss the contemporary issues and challenges found in today’s workforce and learn how to incorporate a global perspective in HR decision-making.
Our curriculum consists of engaging coursework that’s designed to prepare you for your future career. Just a few sample courses include:
Our graduates go on to major corporations and prestigious graduate programs, including:
Gain HR insights outside of the classroom by joining Bryant’s Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management, the world’s largest HR professional society. This valuable networking opportunity allows you to learn more about current happenings in the field, engage with the local SHRM Rhode Island chapter, and make meaningful connections with leading industry professionals through a mentor match program.
Gain practical experience and grow your confidence through our many internship opportunities.
Work with real businesses to take your leadership skills and career credentials to the next level.
Showcase your resilience and savvy by participating in academic competitions and challenges.
Expand your horizons and immerse yourself in another culture through one of our study abroad programs.
Lessons from a textbook can only take you so far. That’s why experiential learning is at the core of your Bryant experience. You’ll engage in hands-on projects and opportunities beginning your very first year — building skills in critical thinking, learning how to adapt to challenges, and fostering your determination to succeed.
By complementing your business major with a minor in the College of Arts and Sciences or the School of Health and Behavioral Sciences, you’ll learn how to assess problems from different perspectives and find creative solutions to today’s biggest challenges. Our interdisciplinary approach is a strength that leads to extraordinary career outcomes and lifetime earnings.
