Ryan M. Sonder (he/him), Lecturer with the Department of History, Literature, and the Arts, received his Ph.D. in Humanities from Salve Regina University in 2018. Recipient of the Bryant University's Excellence in Teaching Award in 2022, Professor Sonder's pedagogy remains deeply committed to fostering inclusive, collaborative, and joyful learning communities in seminars such as Narrative Theory, Contemporary Literature, Composition Studies, Experimental and Electronic Literature, and Topics in Environmental Humanities. His current research explores the intersections of game studies and critical pedagogy. In addition to his teaching and research, Professor Sonder co-advises the University chapter of Delta Alpha Pi (International Honors Society for Students with Disabilities), Chairs the CAS Inclusive Pedagogy and Faculty Develop Initiative, serves on the IDEA and Day of Understanding leadership teams, and continues to advocates for equity-centered and justice-oriented education.
