She holds a BA in Business and MA in Marketing from the University of Tehran, Iran.
Zahra’s primary research interests revolve around the complementary domains of proactive behaviors, recovery/well-being, and the work-nonwork interface. In her work, specifically, she seeks to explore the connections and interactions between an individual's experiences at work and their experiences in their personal life or other non-work settings. She is mainly interested in studying these phenomena from a within-person perspective and using multilevel modeling. However, she also employs other methodologies to address research questions appropriately.
Zahra’s research has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology and the Journal of Business and Psychology. Her work has also been featured in multiple media outlets, including Forbes and The Boston Globe.
In 2023, Zahra received the Research and Publication Award from Bryant University in recognition of her outstanding contributions to research.
At Bryant University, Zahra teaches International Human Resource Management and Employment Law.
Besides work, she enjoys hiking, camping, cooking, and spending time with her husband and son.
