Jennifer Horan
Jennifer Horan has a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the Graduate Center of New York and the Sorbonne-Paris IV. Her teaching and research are interdisciplinary, drawing upon literary, philosophical, historical, global and other contexts. Prior to coming to Bryant, she taught at public universities in France and New York City, at Salve Regina University (Doctoral Humanities) and RISD. She continues to mentor student dissertations in the U.S. and abroad.
She enjoys advising Honors students and has contracted various courses for Honors (English Literature, Migration Literature and Introduction to Philosophy). She has served as a faculty advisor for IDEA from 2017 to the present. She is passionate about the irreducible "with" of identity- the commonly diverse and shared purposes of who are and can be.
