About This Program

Our Pre-Law program is designed to educate students about law as a career and the process of applying to law school. This is an advisory program, not a major/minor course of study.

For students considering law school, a dedicated pre-law advisor can work with you to:

discuss and recommend course options*
explain the law school application process and which law school may be right for you
uncover internship opportunities and networking events.

At Bryant, students benefit from personalized attention, including one-on-one appointments with the pre-law advisor to address questions at any stage of the law school exploration or application process. The advisor stays informed about current news and trends by attending conferences, participating in law-related networks, and maintaining relationships with law school admission deans and other pre-law advisors.

At Bryant, we believe in learning by doing. Students interested in a law career can participate in experiential learning opportunities such as student clubs and organizations, internships, competitions, and research collaboration with faculty.

Career Education Opportunities

A partnership with The Washington Center in Washington, D.C., provides Bryant students with semester-long or summer internship opportunities that have included the White House, the FBI, leading think tanks, and prominent law firms.
Pre-Law students have held internships in the R.I. Attorney General's Office and in the court system, law and consulting firms, and nonprofit organizations.

A partnership with Villanova University provides direct-entry admission of qualified Bryant students to pursue a doctorate of law at Villanova's Charles Widger School of Law.
Students study for three (qualified juniors) or four years at Bryant, before enrolling at Villanova for three years with a guaranteed scholarship.
