A Skill in Demand

In 2020, bilingual jobs comprised 30% of all postings for higher-end, white-collar jobs in the U.S. At Bryant, 99% of our graduates are employed or in graduate school within six months of graduation. The median starting salary for the Class of 2023 was $72,500.

Our Program

Our Spanish faculty are dedicated educators whose research ranges from second-language acquisition and applied linguistics to cultural and contemporary issues in countries where Spanish is spoken. These caring and supportive professors get to know you as an individual in our close-knit, student-centered community.

You'll benefit from small class sizes and teachers who take seriously their role as mentors and advisors.

The objectives of a concentration in Spanish are:

Develop proficiency in spoken and written Spanish
Cultivate and encourage the appreciation of media and culture of Hispanic countries
Prepare students to use Spanish in travel and study abroad
Prepare students to work in international contexts requiring knowledge of Spanish

A minimum of 18 credit hours is required for the concentration. Nine of those must be earned at Bryant; one may be at the 200 level and at least two must be at the 300 and 400 levels. For more information, visit the undergraduate catalog.
