About the Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging

The Office of Institutional Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (IDEIB) aims to foster an inclusive community by:

Engaging with people: We provide resources and support for underrepresented groups through facilitating networking opportunities to enhance community and professional growth. Additionally, we reach out to the broader community through partnerships, collaborative projects, and participation in community events.
Implementing programs: Our approach to campus-wide initiatives includes training programs, organizing workshops, and hosting events promoting awareness and understanding of diverse perspectives.
Cultivating an inclusive culture: We work closely with campus partners to ensure initiatives are aligned. By sharing best practices and using resources efficiently, we amplify the impact of our work and create a broader positive effect.

IDEIB works with the PwC Center for Diversity and Inclusion, which encompasses the Intercultural Center, the Hochberg Women’s Center, and the Pride Center. This partnership supports faculty, staff, and students—the entire Bryant community—to ensure our efforts are cohesive and impactful.

Institutional Commitment to Inclusion

Bryant University recognizes that its position as a leader in higher education is greatly determined by its intellectual endeavors and the diversity of its campus community. We encourage members of our community to be open-minded, critical thinkers with the courage and patience to grow in their understanding of differences. Doing so personally reaffirms the critical role of divergent voices in making Bryant University a world-class institution dedicated to inclusion in all aspects of teaching, learning, and living harmoniously in a shared scholarly environment.

The Council for Inclusive Excellence brings together members from every division to help create a more inclusive environment at Bryant University. The council is responsible for recommending and coordinating inclusive efforts broadly including training, programming and assessment. The council works collaboratively with other campus entities to develop a campus environment that is welcoming, safe and inclusive for faculty, staff and students.

The Student Advisory Board for Inclusive Excellence ensures that student voices are always present in the planning and execution of diversity efforts. The board consists of undergraduate students of various backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. The board helps to inform diversity, equity and inclusion practices, priorities and accountability for access and inclusion for students at Bryant University.
